That’s why I was pleasantly surprised by an article I read today on Kansascity.com about a wedding planner who really “gets it” when it comes to working with brides.

“It’s about celebrating the blending of two families, not impressing people.”

This vision for the weddings and events she plans and her attention to detail has helped fuel her wedding planning hobby into a successful event planning business. It’s a great story, and one that many involved in the wedding industry should take note of, before they are viewing their wedding business in the rear view mirror.

As a retail florist, I get asked about the best way to send flowers to other countries throughout the world. Before the internet, the best way was going through a local florist that was a member of a wire service, like FTD or Teleflora.
