How much should I budget for wedding flowers?

One of the questions that I get asked often from brides is how much should they budget for wedding flowers.

Since there are a lot of factors that go into pricing wedding flowers, and each wedding is different, the figures can vary widely. It’s probably why florists (and other vendors) don’t post their prices online. They simply need more information before quoting a price.

Without more details, the only guideline that I can give is an average range of how much other couples have spent with us on their wedding flowers.

Recently, I came across a nifty wedding cost estimating tool that you can use to get an idea of what other couples in your area have spent on their wedding flowers.

I’m usually skeptical about the accuracy of tools like this, so I took a look back at some of our wedding flower orders over the last two years for comparison purposes.

I found that the majority of couples spent between $400 and $2400 on their wedding flowers with us. Although that price range varies widely, when I ran the numbers for wedding flowers in the cost estimator, I found them to be surprisingly on target for the Milwaukee area.

Keep in mind that I only used this tool to check on wedding flowers. It can be used for nearly every aspect of your wedding.

This tool is a good starting point for most couples to help develop a realistic overall budget for their wedding. Or, you can just use it to get an idea of what others in your area have spent on a specific item, or items, for their wedding.

Armed with this information, you’ll be able to make better purchasing decisions when choosing your vendors.

Understanding how much average wedding costs are now can help you with your wedding budget later.
