Instead of ‘Tuesdays With Morrie,’ it’s Wednesdays with flowers

Came across this touching story today in the Caller-Times about the generosity of a former patient at Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial in Corpus Christi, Texas.

This former patient, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been donating flowers to two selected hospital patients every Wednesday since last April, and will continue to do so through April of 2009, over 100 bouquets in all.

The reaction from the patients who have been on the receiving end of this generosity, really shows how flowers can lift the spirits of people at a time when they need it the most. True “flower power” at work.
