Two good reasons to use freeze dried rose petals at your wedding

Freeze Dried Rose Petals

Several weeks ago, after checking my local suppliers with no results, I went online and ordered some freeze dried rose petals that we need for a wedding next weekend.

The reason for using freeze dried petals is because the couple has purchased a silk damask aisle runner that they are using and then donating to the church, and they are worried about staining it if they use fresh petals. And they didn’t like silk petals, because they aren’t “environmentally friendly”. So they asked if I could get the petals for them, which I agreed to do.

I’ve used freeze dried flower petals before, but I was never a big fan of them. Most of petals just didn’t have good color. That’s probably because I’m always comparing them to fresh ones. So I’ve really never recommended that people use them. But I may have changed my tune on that.

I was pleasantly surprised when the freeze dried petals I ordered arrived - they were very high quality petals, much nicer than those that I’d seen before. They weren’t the least expensive petals I found, but given the quality, they are definitely a good value for the money. And because they are good for the environment and won’t stain fine linens, I have two good reasons to recommend using them from now on.

If you’re thinking about using freeze dried petals at your event, here’s the link where I found mine. Check them out for yourself:
