Wedding flower pictures from a few of our recent weddings

August 3rd, 2009 by Greg Johnson · Comments

One common element in several of the weddings we’ve done recently is that the ceremonies and receptions have been very small, often limited to family and close friends only. Since the end of May, we’ve done flowers for several weddings like this.

Although the average weddings we do are larger, I thought I would share a few pictures of some of the wedding bouquets we provided, to give you an idea of what we can do with smaller budgets.

The budget for the flowers for each of these weddings was at most $300, some less.

The first two pictures are from a wedding we did at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. The bridemaids each carried an arm bouquet of orange roses and lilies, while the bride carried a traditional cascade bouquet of ivory lilies and white roses, accented with ivy and beargrass.

This was the largest of the weddings pictured here, with four bridesmaids, and four groomsmen, a flower girl and ring bearer. The flower girl carried a basket of mixed petals. Additional corsages and boutonnieres were limited to the couple’s parents.

This June wedding was a small ceremony, family and invited close friends only, held at Whitnall Park Lutheran Church in Hales Corners.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and white roses, accented with green hypericum and babie’s breath.

Her matron of honor carried a similar hand-tied bouquet of pink and white roses, lisianthus, accented with green hypericum berries and babie’s breath.

Besides matching boutonnieres for the groom and best man, the only other arrangement was a bouquet placed behind the altar for the ceremony.

And finally, this picture is from a wedding we did this past weekend at Roots Restaurant and Cellar, located in the Brewer’s Hill neighborhood.

The wedding took place on the restaurant’s terrace overlooking the downtown area, after which a dinner for 20 immediate family members followed.

We also provided two vase arrangements of matching flowers for the dining table, which was one long table that seated all the guests for dinner.

Smaller weddings are a growing trend in today’s economy, and couples are trying to more with less. If you’re planning a wedding in the Milwaukee area, why not contact us today? No matter what your flower budget is, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your wedding flower needs and try to help you do the same.
