Wedding flowers – Who pays for what

November 16th, 2008 by Greg Johnson · View Comments

Traditionally, it’s been the bride’s family that has usually picked up the tab for all of the wedding flowers, including the bridesmaid’s bouquets, ceremony and reception flowers.

The groom’s family pays for the bridal bouquet, the mother’s and grandmother’s corsages, and boutonnieres for the groomsmen.

Today, however, couples often pay for much of the wedding ceremony and reception themselves, with help from their family.

Knowing who is responsible for paying for many of the items in the wedding budget can be confusing. Here’s a quick wedding checklist that breaks down today’s accepted practices. It should help clear up any confusion.
