Paging through my customer loyalty program member list the other day confirmed that the most loyal and influential customers of my flower shop are women. In fact, many of my best business and personal accounts, as well as professional contacts, have come as a result of these well-networked women customers. Not surprisingly, most of these women are Moms, too.
There are a lot of misconceptions about how women use the internet. I came across an article entitled “Moms Rule the Web” on the FTR blog this morning that shows the reasons why women (and Moms) have become a force to be reckoned with. It talks about how the internet has really kind of “supercharged” the power and influence of this demographic like never before. This post shed light on some facts that really surprised me.
The latest Ipsos-Insight FloralTrends Consumer Tracking Study shows that women purchase 79% of floral products sold today. If you are trying to grow a floral business today, this is the one demographic you need to learn to work with and pay attention to. You can read the full article here:
