  • Fresh flowers like mums combine beautifully with preserved foliage and decorative elements.
  • The project can be completed in less than 10 minutes with proper preparation.
  • Dollar stores and craft shops provide affordable materials to keep costs manageable.
  • Base foliage creates structure while decorative objects add visual interest and seasonal flair.
  • Both fresh and silk flowers work equally well for these arrangements.

Awesome, right? I knew you’d like it! The beauty of a tiered flower arrangement is that the concept can be adapted and used throughout the year.

The arrangement created in the video is in a fall motif. But you could substitute colorful Christmas ornaments or pine cones for the persimmons, holiday greens for the preserved leaves, and assorted white mums for the holidays.

For Spring, you could add colorful Easter grass and plastic eggs. Anyway, you get the idea.

What you choose to use is only limited by your imagination. Another advantage to using permanent materials is that they can be stored and used again.

Reviewing The Design Steps

Creating beautiful floral arrangements doesn’t have to be difficult. With a container, a few simple flowers, a little creativity, and about ten minutes of your time, you can create stunning displays guaranteed to impress everyone who sees them.

The key to success is knowing where to begin.

  • Start by picking out the base foliages that you want to arrange together.
  • Then choose the decor objects (fruit, ornaments, pine cones, etc.) you’d like to use.
  • Finally, select the flowers you would like to include.

Once you know what you’re doing, moving forward is easy. Just follow the steps in the video, and you’ll be on your way to creating gorgeous bouquets for your home in no time!

Where to Look for What You Need

If you don’t already have a dessert stand, you can find 3-tier stands online for less than ten dollars or tutorials showing you how to make your own for less than five dollars. You can also stack footed cake plates to achieve a similar look.

A trip to your local dollar store will uncover a treasure trove of items you can use. You’ll find something for every season and holiday.

And you won’t have to spend much on a container or the materials you use.

The flowers used, in this case, mums, can be purchased from any floral outlet, but if you are looking for more unusual flowers, your local florist will likely have a better selection.

The mums in this cut-flower centerpiece will only last a short time without a water source, but that’s okay. You want them to be their best when your guests are present. If they start to fade, you can remove or replace them with fresh ones.

You could also use silk flowers in place of fresh flowers. Sites like NearlyNatural, or craft websites like Hobby Lobby and Michaels have a terrific selection.

These sites carry higher-quality faux flowers, but a dollar store may have just what you need

The preserved foliage used in the video is from the Knud Neilsen Company, whose products are considered the gold standard by professional florists.

You can find Knud Neilsen preserved foliages, and others on Amazon.

You can also find suitable foliages at Hobby Lobby, or drop by your local florist.
