Learn How To Use A Floral Egg To Design A Beautiful Boho Wedding Bouquet

It’s time for another excellent floral design tutorial, showing you how to design a boho wedding bouquet using a floral egg as the armature.

Learn how quickly and easily you can design a beautiful wedding bouquet like this by following the step-by-step guide in this video.

This tutorial even showed an old dog like me a few new tricks!

It’s a video I think you will enjoy, especially if you want to learn more about designing wedding bouquets. Take a look and see if you agree!

I hope you enjoyed the video and are excited about giving this a shot. The floral egg is a modern take on the old chicken wire armatures.

But is it better than just hand-tying a larger, loosely-styled wedding bouquet?

I’ve done it both ways. I think that if you are happy hand-tying and like the finished look of your bouquet, do it that way.

Using a floral egg armature is worth exploring if you want or need more design control.

The Advantages of Using A Floral Egg

I think there are advantages to using a floral egg armature to create bouquets.

  • It gives you more support when using heavier materials,
  • uses fewer flowers and greens than hand-tying, and as a result,
  • makes the bouquet physically lighter to carry

But that said, in my opinion, knowing how to design both ways is still the best.

Where To Find The Flowers And Supplies You’ll Need

The floral egg armatures are available on Amazon, or you can contact a local florist and ask if you could buy one from them.

All the flowers and foliages used in this wedding bouquet, including the hydrangea, spray roses, amarine, phlox, pink calla lilies, eucalyptus, ruscus, salal, sedum, and Hedera, can be bought online.

You can buy these flowers and many others at great prices online at sites like BloomsbytheBox, GlobalRose and FlowerExplosion. These three are ones I’ve dealt with in the past.

Others look good, too, like WholeBlossoms and BunchesDirect, but I do not have any personal experience with them.

If you only need a small number of high-quality flowers, I suggest buying them from your local florist. It has always been my favorite choice!

If you want to substitute or add some silk flowers, you can find an outstanding selection online at sites like NearlyNatural, or at many craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, or by ordering them through your local florist.

One quick bit of advice, if I may. If you plan on using silk flowers, I suggest staying with fresh greenery, as it will help make your bridal bouquet look more lifelike.

That said, allow me to welcome you to this site. I am the guy responsible for this website, Greg Johnson, and I’m merely here to share some of my favorite floral design tutorials with you.

There’s nothing more to it than that.

But before we get started, I have to level with you. In reality, I really built this video blog for myself.

I can’t seem to get enough when it comes to watching videos about wedding flower design (like the boho wedding bouquet presentation you just watched).

A site where I could watch, comment on, and share my favorite videos with my visitors is what I was after.

Of course, I do see this as something of an opportunity, as well. I want to be transparent here.

I enjoy earning a bit of sponsorship revenue on the side, as I share awesome floral arranging tutorials with you. I hope you’re okay with that.

If you appreciate that, I hope to see you again.
