Ever wonder what it takes to make a cymbidium orchid arrangement for a wedding or special event. You might be surprised at how easy it is. Take a look...
In this short video, master UK florist Alexandra Lyons shows you a quick and easy way to make a cymbidium orchid arrangement that’s perfect for a wedding or special event.
Even if you’re an inexperienced floral designer, you’ll be able to put together a beautiful cymbidium orchid arrangement like this in no time at all.
It’s a video I think you’re going to really enjoy, especially if you love finding simple ways to work with flowers. Watch and see if you feel the same!
Well, didn’t I tell you how fast and easy creating arrangements like this can be? But as always, there is a tradeoff. What you save in time may be offset by the material cost. Especially in a piece like this.
For example, the price of a cymbidium orchid stem generally ranges from $25-$40, depending on the quantity you buy.
Secondly, the cost of event glassware like the vase used in the video is likely going to be $30-$40 per vase to purchase. It could be more or less, depending upon the source.
You’ll save money if you can find a local rental source. Or check your local Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. You never know what you’ll find.
Add to that the time it takes to source everything you’ll need, and going the DIY route may not be as much of a money-saver as you think.
The bottom line is…if you are doing this for a wedding or special event, you may save money doing it yourself.
But it may not be cost-effective, depending on the logistics of the event.
A better way to save both time and money would be to work with an experienced floral professional, who can show you ways to maximize your event’s floral budget.
How Do I Know This?
Well, I’ve been doing it for more than 40 years, so I’ve definitely seen a thing or two.
My name is Greg Johnson, the owner of Greenfield Flower Shop and I’ve assembled this ever-growing video library in an effort to share a bunch of cool floral design tutorial videos with you. That’s it. It’s why I’m here with you now.
But first and foremost, I have to level with you. Honestly, the main reason this site exists is a selfish one.
See, I’m asked a lot of the same questions over and over, and I honestly just wanted a place where I could share videos that answer most of these questions from one site.
Of course, I do see this as something of an opportunity, as well. I’m just being honest.
I love sharing great content, and I also enjoy earning sponsorship revenues and affiliate commissions… hopefully, you don’t see anything wrong with that.
I’m a pretty straightforward person if you couldn’t tell. But at the same time… Sales pitches suck, they’re not my style, and making money is not my key motivator for running this blog.
If my sponsors happen to entice you with their offers, that’s fantastic! But if you’re not interested, that’s alright too. I’m just glad that you’re here.
I’m just cool with sharing informative flower arranging tutorials by some of the best industry pros out there, with like-minded people like you!
And that’s what FlowersFloralFlorist is. It’s, for all intents and purposes, a place to come and learn about floral design. Sound good? Great! It’d be great to have you over again some time.
So be sure to keep on coming back! I’m just gonna continue to share great videos in areas that include flowers, plants, and weddings… and tons more.
