Simple Vases For Flower Arrangements

There are lots of things around our homes that make perfect containers for floral arrangements.

Start by rounding up things around your house that can hold water. As long as they don’t leak, they’ll work.

As you’ll see, finding an eclectic container or two to use as a vase for floral arrangements is easy.

Remember that the containers you use don’t have to match, either.

Mismatched items look great when they are grouped. You can tie them together using one or two similar flower varieties or colors.

If you want to make a larger arrangement, old watering cans, ceramic pitchers, kettles and tea pots are great containers for that purpose.

They will add an element of surprise and a pop of color to any space.

Champagne flutes or wine glasses with a single flower in each will turn any dinner into an elegant occasion.

For a more casual affair, soda bottles, wine bottles, mason jars, colored glass bottles, or any simple glass vases work great. Try clustering them on a coffee table, dining table, kitchen counter, or buffet cabinet with flowers in each. Highlight them with a few votive candles.

And don’t waste those broken flower heads! Shallow bowls and dishes are perfect for floating broken blooms. Try adding floating candles for a shimmering effect.

Once you know what container types you have to work with, the rest is easy. Just add flowers!

Remember, floral arrangements don’t have to be perfect. So don’t overthink it.

Just be creative and have some fun!
