Cyclamen Care Shortcuts – The Easy Way

Cyclamen Care Shortcuts – The Easy Way

During the winter months, cyclamen are a very popular indoor flowering plant. Seems folks can’t resist their beautiful flowers and lush foliage that add a splash of color to any space.

If you recently bought a cyclamen plant or received one as a gift, you might be wondering about the best way to care for it.

This short video that will show you how easy it is to care for your cyclamen plant, even if you don’t have a green thumb.

Awesome! I hope that you enjoyed the video.

To quickly recap…

  • Cyclamen, (cyclamen persicum), prefer moderately bright light (diffused sunlight). Placement near a sunny window is ideal.
  • Moderately moist soil is preferred. Water thoroughly when soil surface feels dry to the touch, and be sure not to let the plant stand in water.
  • Cyclamen prefer moderate temperatures, 65-70°F (18-21°C)during the daytime, and 50-60°F (15-18°C) at night. Keep out of excessively hot or cold areas.
  • A complete houseplant fertilizer for cyclamen is recommended, like a 10-10-10 or 20-20-20. Fertilize every 3-4 weeks.

If you’re looking for more in-depth information on the steps you should be taking to get your cyclamen to re-bloom, be sure to check out this article I came across.

Although it’s a bit of work (but, in my opinion, not as much as with poinsettias), with a little luck you should be able to have your cyclamen re-bloom again next year.

That stated, if this your first visit here, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Greg Johnson, and I happen to be the guy who created I’ve put together this video blog in order to share a bunch of awesome floral-related videos with good folks, like you. That’s it! That’s all.

Look, to start on the right foot, I’ve got something important I need to say. Admittedly, the main reason this site exists is a selfish one. You see, I tend to check out a lot of flower and plant videos (like the cyclamen care vid you just finished watching), and a cool site on which I could re-watch my favorite videos is really what I was after.

I also believe that there is no shortage of opportunity online, which is another motivating factor in my decision to create this site. I just want to be transparent here.

I love sharing great content, and I also enjoy earning sponsorship revenues and affiliate commissions… hopefully, you don’t see anything wrong with that.

The point is, this site does provide me with a small income. With that having been said… I’m not here to sell anything. If you see a product on this site that you think will help, that’d be great! But if this isn’t the case, absolutely no hard feelings. I just appreciate your readership.

The truth is, I’m very passionate about flowers and plants and sharing cool stuff with cool people… like you!

And that’s the purpose that FlowersFloralFlorist serves. It’s pretty much just a place where you can access tons of floral-related videos all under one roof. If you appreciate that, awesome! I hope to see you again.

So be sure to keep comin’ back! I’ll simply keep sharing loads of killer videos in areas such as weddings, flowers, home decor… and so much more.
